Tethered Modem (7.0)
The Venus can be used as a tethered modem either via USB or Bluetooth, although you must install its drivers first. Via USB you will have the full benefit of EVDO's fast speeds, but if you're dialing out via Bluetooth you'll be slowed down by that wireless connection.

GPS (4.0)
The Venus doesn't have a GPS, but it can provide GPS-like functionality with its VZ Navigator software for a fee. VZ Navigator is easy to use, though there's a bit of waiting involved. You also have the option to send map locations via text messages. Using this program you can look up maps and get turn-by-turn directions.
