The Arena's email program can handle IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, and Exchange accounts.

Instant Messaging
The demo units available did not have an IM application and the Arena's spec sheet lists this feature as TBD.
Text & Multimedia Messaging
The Arena is capable of text and multimedia messaging, with the ability to change an SMS to an MMS on the fly if you change your mind during composition.
