HTC announces Touch Pro

June 4, 2008 - HTC today announced the Touch Pro Windows Mobile smart phone. Running their latest version of the TouchFlo interface the Touch Pro is very similar to the previously announced HTC Touch Diamond with the addition of a slide out QWERTY keyboard. The Touch Pro also sports support for WCDMA data up to 7.2 Mbps, GPS, Wi-Fi and a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera. The Touch Pro will be available overseas later this summer and in the U.S. later in 2008.HTC's TouchFlo interface is an effort to improve the touch screen interface on Windows Mobile devices. Their previous versions of TouchFlo have been seen on devices like the HTC Touch (review). The latest version of TouchFlo sports new 3D effects. The effort to improve the touch screen experience is seen as an attempt to better compete with Apple's iPhone (review).
