As a Windows Mobile device, the Touch Pro2 should have the exceptional IMAP, POP, and Microsoft Exchange email capabilities typically offered, though the details on the Touch Pro2's messaging specs have not yet been released.

Instant Messaging
We expect that the Touch Pro2 will offer IM through Windows Live accounts out of the box, as we've seen with other Windows Mobile devices. 3rd-party IM applications for Windows Mobile are also available.
Text & Multimedia Messaging
The Touch Pro2 will be capable of SMS and MMS messaging.
