HTC Touch Pro Coming to Sprint, Security flaw in Android, LG Dare available on Telus Mobility and More. Here is today's web round up.


Sprint will launch the much-anticipated HTC Touch Pro on 26th October. The Windows Mobile smartphone will retail for $300 after rebate and a 2-year contract.

 

According to Charles A. Miller, a former National Security Agency specialist, there is a major security flaw in Google’s Android software that can redirect users to malicious websites. As of now, Google is staying mum on this issue.

The LG Dare is now available on the Telus Mobility network. The Canadian carrier is selling the handset for $349.99 sans contract and those who sign a 2-year agreement need to shell out $199.99.

Hop-on has announced their plans to launch a new handset that will run on the Google Android platform. The handset will be unveiled at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show and price would be less than $200.
