Synchronization & Push
According to HTC, the Magic will have the same synchronization and push capabilities as the T-Mobile G1. This means that syncing with your PIM application of choice on your computer is not possible. Instead, the Magic will sync with the contacts and calendar information in your online Google account. While there are utilities out there to sync your Google Account with Outlook or iCal on the Mac, this requires an extra step to keep things in sync which we'd rather not have.
Contacts
The Magic's contacts application looks exactly the same as the T-Mobile G1's and we expect the same ability to add some additional fields, though probably not enough to satisfy business users who need to record an abundance of details about their contacts.

Calendar
The Magic has a native calendar application and it pulls its content directly from your Google account. Since no Google account was set up on the demo unit we saw, we were unable to even view the calendar application. However, everything we saw and heard indicates that it will be exactly like the calendar on the T-Mobile G.
Tasks
Keeping up the theme of the similarities with the T-Mobile G1, the Magic does not have a native tasks application out of the box.
Notes
Ditto here again - the Magic does not come with a notes application out of the box.
