Music Software
The Magic has a music application identical to that of the T-Mobile G1. On the G1, we found it to be quite functional though a bit unintuitive in places.

What we didn't see on the Magic was the Amazon MP3 store, though this doesn't surprise us since Amazon's MP3 store will only sell music to customers who have a credit or debit card with a U.S. address There have been rumors that Amazon's MP3 store will expand to cover Europe and other global locations, but there's no indication if it will make it to the Magic if and when that happens.

Music Formats
The Magic's specs indicate that it will be able to playback files in AAC, AAC+, AMR-NB, MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC-LC, MIDI, and OGG file formats.

Video Software
Here's where the Magic breaks away from the T-Mobile G1 a bit - it can play back video! There's no separate video application to go to - videos are accessed via the Gallery where pictures are also located. Tapping on a video starts it playing in landscape mode.

Video Formats
The Magic will be able to play back MPEG4 and 3GP formatted files.
