Keyboard/Keypad
The G60's keyboard is a virtual one. One thing we definitely don't like about the keyboard, as shown below when opened in the web browser, is that it takes up the entire screen, causing you to lose the context in which you're entering text. We much prefer a keyboard layout that at least allows you to see some portion of the screen around it, as found on the iPhone 3G and other phones.

Controls
The G60 has no D-pad or soft menu keys for navigation, which is all done through the resistive touchscreen.

Display
The G60 has a large 3.55" resistive touchscreen. Resistive touchscreens are generally not as responsive as capacitive ones, like you'd find on the iPhone 3G, but we didn't see the usual lag with such screens on the G60 in our short time with it. Whatever they did, Garmin-Asus made a resistive touchscreen that won't be bothersome if you're coming from the likes of the iPhone 3G to the G60.

Ports & Storage
The G60 has 2 major ports - the car mount connector to provide power while it's in the suction-cup mount with which it comes. The other port is the mini USB port. We also want to note that the G60 has a 2.5mm headphone jack, an irritating size for the headphone jack that will require an adapter for headphones that have the more standard 3.5mm headphone connector size. Many wired headsets do come with 2.5mm plugs, though.

The G60 has 4GB of on-board memory, though how much of this is available to the user beyond what's taken up by the included maps is not yet known. The microSD card slot can take high-capacity cards up to 16GB in size.
