Conclusion
A GPS-focused device from Garmin has been expected for a little while now, and it's nice to finally see one in person. The G60 seems like a solid device that will definitely get you where you need to go and keep you in touch as you venture out into unknown territory. As previously mentioned, location-based services are the order of the day and the G60 is not meant to be an all-around device to keep a very busy schedule on track or fulfill every multimedia consumption need. We have to think that it wouldn't be that hard to add a few more applications to the G60 to give it the full complement of functionality found on other comparable touchscreen devices, and we hope that Garmin-Asus will follow that path at some point in the near future. In the meantime, we'd love to get a G60 into our labs for full testing and think that it shows a great deal of promise in a market where really good GPS navigation is either completely missing or an after-thought.
