GMail Mobile 2.0 for BlackBerry, Nokia 2280 Announced, Samsung TouchWiz Debuting in the US Soon and More

GMail for Mobile 2.0 released, Nokia 2280 to debut in CDMA markets, Samsung TouchWiz coming to the US and more. Here is today's daily web round up.

Google has announced the immediate availability of GMail for Mobile 2.0 for BlackBerry and Java phones. The update offers basic offline support and is available in over 35 languages. Go to m.google.com/mail in your mobile browser to download it.

The Nokia 2280 is an entry-level CDMA handset features a 1.3-megapixel camera, a media player and supports voice recognition. No word on pricing or availability.

Samsung announced the upcoming availability of their proprietary TouchWiz™ user interface in the U.S. market. TouchWiz supports widgets that provide a one-touch access point to a user’s favorite applications. Samsung Mobile expects to launch several full touchscreen devices with TouchWiz technology in late 2008 and early  2009.
