Cellular Bands (4.0)
Since the Pearl is on Verizon, it runs on CDMA’s bands: 800 and 1900 MHz. This means it will only work in the US and parts of Korea, and doesn’t have a SIM card so you can easily swap phones without changing your wireless plan.

Data Support Score (6.0)
The Pearl supports an EVDO connection. This allows for average download speeds of between 500-700 kbps with maximum throughput of 1Mbps.

Bluetooth (8.0)

The Pearl contains a few Bluetooth 2.0 profiles, but our software returned a few vague names, such as “Voice Gateway” (which can be a few different things), and “Unknown”. Fortunately, the Pearl itself offered more insight into its mysterious nomenclatural choices. The Pearl claims it supports headset, hands-free, desktop connectivity, wireless bypass, DUN (dial-up networking), A2DP (stereo audio), and ARCP (Audio/video remote control).

Wi-Fi (5.0)
While the Pearl 8130 doesn’t support wi-fi, the 8120 model does. Keep this in mind if you’re shopping around for different carriers.

Infrared (0.0)
The Pearl doesn’t support infrared.
