BlackBerry Flip and Sony Ericsson G705 Gets Official, Asus P552W Unveiled and More

The Sony Ericsson G705 and the BlackBerry Flip becomes official, Asus P552W in the pipeline and more. Here is today’s web round up which brings you the best of the web.


The Sony Ericsson G705 is now official and will start shipping to select markets from early Q4 in the colours Silky Gold or Majestic Black. The American version which will support GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSUPA 850/1900/2100 and will be available early Q1 2009. 







The BlackBerry Pearl Flip was another handset to be unveiled officially today. T-Mobile US will have the phone by this Fall though there is no word on pricing. The quad-band EDGE based BlackBerry 8820 features built-in Wi-Fi® (802.11 b/g) with support for UMA (unlicensed mobile access).




Yahoo's oneSearch is now the default search engine for AT&T mobile subscribers. One will be able to access Yahoo's oneSearch mobile Web services like news, financial information, weather, Flickr photos as well as Web search via the phone.






The P552W is a new Smartphone from Asus. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the handset cashes on the current trend of touchscreens and coverflow interfaces. The P552W is a Tri-band GSM handset and also supports Wi-Fi, UMTS 2100MHz and HSDPA.
