Tethered Modem (6.0)
The Curve can be used as a tethered modem either via USB hookup or over Bluetooth. Setting up this functionality was simple if you had the carrier dial-up info. This is a great feature for the Curve's target audience, as business users will likely run into a situation where they'll need to get online quickly. We just wished the phone supported the 3G network for faster browsing.
GPS (0.0) While the Curve can churn out directions with NavMap, it doesn't have a GPS receiver. If you get lost a lot, you can buy a Bluetooth GPS receiver for about $100, and the bundled TeleNav software will help you find your way home 10 times a month for a subscription of $5.99 a month, or an unlimited number of times for $9.99 a month.
PTT (5.0)
The Curve supports AT&T's Push to Talk network, which is nothing new for BlackBerry devices. What this feature does is allow walkie-talkie-type functionality between other PTT phones. Using PTT is easy, and we had no problems adding contacts or setting availability. We didn't have another PTT-enabled phone, so we didn't get to test it; this score is based solely on it's inclusion.
