At MWC: Samsung Memoir Announced, Nokia N86 Official and More

The 8-Megapixel Samsung Memoir for T-Mobile has been officially unveiled at the MWC, which is currently taking place in Barcelona. This behemoth of a device runs on T-Mobile's 1800Mhz 3G network and also supports 850, 900, 1800 and 1900MHz frequencies. No word on pricing but T-Mobile should have this device by Feb 25th.
If the Memoir’s 8MP camera impressed you then the Sony Ericsson’s 12.1-megapixel camera phoneswill make you ecstatic. Codenamed Idou, SE released some interesting details at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona. The device will come equipped with a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and will have a plethora of multimedia features. For more details head over here.
The MWC is in full swing and its practically raining cellphones! Acer also announced a new smartphone in Barcelona that boasts of a widget-based friendly interface. The Acer Tempo X960 offers HSPA connectivity and comes equipped with GPS software and a 3.2MP camera. Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, the smartphone runs on a Samsung S3C 6400 mobile processor.
The Nokia N86 is finally official. Making its presence feel at the MWC, the quad-band GSM/EDGE phone’s claim to fame is its 8-megapixel camera. Other features include; an OLED display, dedicated media keys, a mechanical shutter for fast shooting and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. Nokia will release a HSDPA variant for the North American market too.
