At CTIA: RIM launches the BlackBerry App World, HTC Snap Official and More

At the CTIA Wireless trade show; the BlackBerry App World was officially launched. To download the application one has to visit blackBerry.com/appworld through their mobile phones and have OS 4.2 or higher.

 

 

Applications seem to be the new hot thing at the CTIA Wireless trade show. Yahoo unveiled a group of mobile applications like the Yahoo Messenger app and the Yahoo Mobile app for the iPhone 3G and other mobile handsets.

 


Sony Pictures will announce a “slate of new mobile games” at the CTIA for devices like the iPhone and iPod Touch. The titles include; Angels & Demons, Ghostbusters, Q*Bert, 007 returns, Sports Illustrated, Zombieland, 2012 The Mobile Game, and Voltron.

The HTC Snap, which was unveiled at the CTIA show, is a 3G smartphone that offers features like;  a 2-megapixel camera with video capture, trackball navigation and a new e-mail management feature called "Inner Circle." In the US it will be sold as the HTC S522.

Jabra announced the HALO stereo Bluetooth headset at this year's CTIA Wireless trade show. Featuring Noise Blackout technology f, the handsfree device will be available in May for $129.99.
