Apple iPhone Firmware 1.1.1 Out

Apple just released the updates that takes the iPhone to firmware version 1.1.1. We are downloading and installing it right now; we'll update this post as we go through the process.The first thing that you get when you hit the update button is a long, scary sounding licence agreement. I'm no lawyer, but it basically seems to boil down to Apple owning your iPhone and your first born child. ![]() Whoops, forgot to take a screenshot of the new features the update includes. But here's the list:
Whew! That's a long list. The update seems to be pretty big as well; it is taking some time to download. Okay, two hundred and something megabytes of downloads later, let's see if this works with an unlocked iPhone... No, it failed, with the message below: ![]() The iPhone itself is stuck at "please connect to iTunes".
After rebooting and reconnecting the iPhone, it appears in iTunes as a phone that is in recovery mode. We are restoring it now to see if it continues to work or not. ![]() ![]()
