Here it is, our in-depth, comparative, totally obsessive review of the new iPhone 3G. The latest iteration of Apple's cell phones brings a couple of major upgrades on the hardware side with 3G and GPS on board. It also comes with the new iPhone 2.0 software upgrade that brings support for Exchange Server and third party applications. In addition, it has the benefits of a full year's worth of upgrades that we haven't looked at since we did the last iPhone review. So, is it a worthy upgrade to one of the most iconic cell phones of our time? You're going to have to read the review to find out, or go out and pay $199 with a two-year contract to make your own decision. But seriously, we recommend you read our review first.

Section The Good The Bad
Tour & Design Lighter, feels more comfortable in the hand. Slightly thicker with a plastic back that may scratch.
Audio Quality Improvements across the board on audio quality. We really couldn't think of anything.
Imaging It's got a really easy to use interface? Worse photo quality and still no video recording.
Making/Receiving Calls Louder ring volume and a solid vibrate alert. It takes significantly longer to boot up.
Messaging Exchange support is pretty good, right? Still have to do a lot of button pressing to get around in email.
Organizer Fast, improved calendar interface and contacts search. Still no tasks support and notes are pretty sad.
Multimedia Still one of the best music/video phones on the planet. We'd like to see support for downloading videos and podcasts directly to the phone.
Software iPhone 2.0 OS is now truly a smart phone platform. Some problems with responsiveness cause us concern.
Battery Life Talk time is very good for a 3G handset. The screen is a real battery killer, keep it down low to extend life.
Connectivity 3G, duh, plus Wi-Fi means fast data. Still a pathetic set of Bluetooth profiles.
Hardware Flush 3.5mm headset jack and a very bright screen. Proprietary ports make us gag.
Other Features GPS is on board baby! No turn by turn directions.
Value & Comparisons Half the price, right? Not really, it's actually more expensive over two years.
