Apple IPhone To Be Sold In 2,000 Apple & Cingular Stores?

Those of you who are eager to get your hands on an iPhone (and count us among them) will welcome this news: it looks like the iPhone will be available in 2000 store fronts, nationwide, within both Apple and AT&T stores. We’ve mentioned before how Apple are rolling out special iPhone displays, but this mention of in-store storefronts is new.

The analyst who made this claim is Andy Neff of Bear Sterns, who claims the information from a meeting with Apple’s retail chief and director of marketing. The analyst claims that the iPhone would be available from the 161 Apple Stores and 1840 AT&T stores, and that the company “expressed confidence” in both the June shipping date, and the previously mentioned figure of shipping 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008.
