AT&T Tilt gets WM6 Update, Samsung a837 to debut on AT&T, Verizon Wireless gets sued over Visual Voicemail and much more. Here is todays round of the best of the mobile web.

A free Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade is now available to AT&T Tilt users courtesy HTC. The ROM upgrade can be downloaded from here and to determine what version is running on your device go to Start > Settings > System Tab > Device Information



The inimitable BGR is reporting that the Samsung a837 will be available on AT&T by September 15th. The PTT handset appears to be one tough cookie and include features like; AT&T Navigator, Conference calling with up to 6 participants total, Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, dual-band UMTS/HSDPA (850MHz/1900MHz) and Video Share.







What is this we hear? The luxurious (also read expensive) Vertu phones are finally going 3G. Also Vertu is not just stopping there but also has decided to incorporate Wi-Fi in their phones . When it rains, it really pours.

Klausner Technologies Inc. have sued Verizon Wireless and LG Electronics over a visual voicemail patent, which lets users see their various voicemails as items on a list that users can access separately.

"We anticipated Klausner's action," said Verizon spokesman James Smith. "We are seeking a declaration that Klausner's visual voicemail patent is invalid and that Verizon's system does not infringe the patent in any event."


Hi5, which is a popular social network, has also gone mobile just like Facebook and dozen others. However Hi5 sets itself apart from clique by offering the mobile version in 26 different languages.
